How does Emotional Fitness Life Coaching Work?

Emotional Fitness Life Coaching is a profession that is very different from consulting, mentoring, advice, therapy, or counseling. The coaching process addresses specific emotionally-fueled reactions by examining what is going on right now and making a connection to past memories/decisions to discover the root cause of the undesired reaction so that you may heal it completely or successfully manage it.     

What should I know about Emotional Fitness Life Coaching?

Emotional Fitness Life Coaching (EFLC) is a designed alliance between coach and client where the coaching relationship continually gives all the power to you, the client. We believe that you know the answers to every question or challenge you may have in your life, even if those answers appear to be obscured, concealed or hidden inside.  A gifted EFCL is skilled at knowing the right questions to ask and having the right spiritually-gifted tools and techniques to empower you to find those answers within yourself.

Every day we make choices to do or not do many things; these choices may range from profound to trivial. Each one has an effect that makes our lives more fulfilling or less fulfilling, more balanced or less balanced which makes our process of living more effective or less effective.  An EFLC helps you learn how to make choices that create an effective, balanced and fulfilling life.

What is a negative-thought-form?

 A negative-thought-form is a negative thought and/or belief created in your subconscious that has a strong emotionally connected meaning.  It shows up as a specific, consistent repeated way of expressing a negative emotional reaction or physical action.

What you should know before you meet with an EFLC?

To receive the benefits of an EFLC, it’s important that you know that when an individual experiences an emotional reaction that seems excessive, it’s rarely because of what’s happening in the now.  More often than not, it’s connected to a past experience.  In addition, when something in the body isn’t working properly, the way it was created to function, it generally shows up as physical pain. 

In the same manner, when your emotional reactions are out of your control they are not working properly. And like the body, your emotions should be healed, treated or managed in order to work properly.  And generally, a negative-thought-form has been created which serves as the catalyst that fuels the undesired behavior. 

How is a negative-thought-form created?

By the act of making a deep, emotionally fueled decision or judgment about a person(s) with a lack of understanding or no real knowledge.

Could I unknowingly make a judgment against someone?

Yes, too often, we unknowingly make judgments against people with whom we have emotional ties and it’s the emotional connection that magnifies the power of the decision.

Judgment: the act of making a decision and/or forming an opinion about a person with a lack of or no real knowledge.

Who can be helped by an Emotional Fitness Life Coach?                                                    

(*) Rationalization = to think about or describe something (such as bad behavior) in a way that explains it and makes it seem proper.

Individuals that desire to heal/manage their emotions and/or emotional reactions of self-pity, anger, relationships, drama, hoarding, grief and many other areas where individuals may experience emotional pain.

Individuals that have decided they are ready for positive change and are exhausted by their current emotional reactions and behaviors that are controlling them.  One way of expressing readiness for personal behavior change is revealed when you are ready to speak the truth without rationalization (*).     

What can you expect from an Emotional Fitness Life Coach?

An EFLC offers instructions to individuals on how to understand and manage their emotional reactions.  To begin the healing, an EFLC will coach you with identifying and defining the memory/experience that is connected to your negative emotion or negative-thought-form.

In addition, an EFLC serves as a supportive voice of reason when you are in immediate need of emotional healing or management with a life issue such as an argument with a loved one, the sudden end of a relationship, loss of job, you are extremely angered or feel emotionally out of control.  This is generally a 15 minute – 1.5 hour phone call.

An EFLC encourages individuals to manage and ultimately heal their emotions by releasing and redefining past decisions/judgments by utilizing the gifts of “Forgiveness and Replacement Thoughts” so they may reach and achieve their personal goals.
 
An EFLC inspires individuals to get to the root of their emotional pain and/or confusion by asking the right questions that lead to the answers. This is done through connecting with the memories where the negative-thought-form was created.
